The Rocky C5C is the next step in their lightweight series of boots. Designed for limited duration ops, the C5C is also meant for training, competitions and PT. The biggest difference between the new model and its C4T forebear is the sole.
As you can see it’s quite aggressive with the tread extending up the heel counter as well as toe.
Additionally, the vamp is now leather so as to eliminate any doubt that these are AR 670-1 compliant. The C5C also Incorporates a metallic mesh venting system as found on the C4T.
Any word on whether the sole will be more durable/grip? The C4Ts would shot after a few weeks of hard use
I do wonder if, given the metallic vent system, if they will be okay for Army aviation. So far, only that Belleville crap is.
