My favorite shots are when the camera man looks up towards the blueness that is the sky, and as if one were in the fathoms of the deep, with the azure ocean above lit up from the sun beyond it, you see Jellyfish. Lots of them. The parachutes, an invertebrate suspending a vertebrate during descension.

I’m really starting to find that song annoying.

Can anyone shed some light (hah) on this? Are HALO / HAHO jumps usually done with NODs on, or is it all done without untill you hit the DZ?

I’ve seen Crye’s promotional video with the PNVGs, and also Wilcox’s neat recording system, but I’ve never gotten a good answer as to when NODs are used as far as jumping goes. I guess NODs would be a potential snag hazard, but anything is.

Static Line off the ramp. Anything else is…

    …undignified.

There is something freakin’ sexy about jumping at night with the lights of a city in view (or framing the DZ). Those jumps were the most fun I had while on status.
