Snugpak is now offering three new insulated jackets in ATACS AU: the SJ3, Ebony, and Vapour. These jackets are made in the UK and are available from authorized Snugpak dealers.
SJ3
The SJ3 is an all-weather outer shell. It features a Paratex Micro outer and Paratex Light inner to keep moisture away from the skin. The Softie Premier filling is designed to reflect and trap heat. The design of the SJ3 is tailored to fit the contours of the body. The main zip is water resistant, and a high neck design keeps out the draft.
Ebony
The Ebony is temperature rated to -10C, extreme: -15C. It’s lightweight, windproof, breathable, and water-repellant. Softie deep polyester insulation reflects and traps heat. The Ebony also comes with a TS1 (Thermal Suede) collar and stuff sack for travel.
Vapour
The Vapour is a lightweight, water-resistant, and breathable soft shell. It features a Paratex micro outer with TS1, which traps a layer of air inside the membrane of the jacket. Also features an integrated stow-away hood.

One of my most prized pieces of kit is my Snugpak Sleeka Elite. These guys know how to make a jacket you find room for in your pack.
I wish I had known about Snugpak back in the day. A Sleeka and a pair of Salopettes take up less space than a sleeping bag and are multi-use.
I purchased a SJ-6 A-TACS in November rated down to 14F. I live in northern Vermont and we have routinely experienced temperatures of -20 to -25F this winter. I have worn it in the car down to 0F and keep it in my ruck as a an additional layer if I ever get stuck on my 40-mile commute. It is lightweight, windproof and rolls up into a nice compact package. With normal layering you can wear this jacket comfortably down below 0F.
