Doesn’t that diagram at 1:04 show the relation between needed IR light and aperture?

The same situation – smaller aperture.
And the diagram says “more IR light needed”. (Just because smaller hole lets less light in.)
Looks like a tradeoff? For me – yes.
Is it significant? The answer is individual.
