As we previously announced, 5.11 Tactical has brought back the Tactical Duty Kilt. The 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt is made from 5.11’s Taclite poly/cotton ripstop fabric, treated with Teflon for stain and soil resistance. It features front slant pockets with reinforced edges, and side cargo pockets designed to hold 2 30-round AR magazines or 3 pistol magazines (1 pocket of each type); the cargo pockets can be switched from one side to the other.

The belt loops are sized to accommodate up to 1.75″ belts, and the front belt loop includes a badge holder. D-rings allows for the attachment of a sporran.

Available in the following colors: Khaki, Coyote, TDU Green, Tundra, Charcoal, Dark Navy, Black, MultiCam, and Realtree Xtra and in sizes 28-54.

$10 from every kilt sold will be donated to FBINAA and We Salute You Veterans.

    I can hear it now

“But it provides a tactical advantage, sir! While they’re laughing at us, we can get a few shots in while their distracted. Besides, it was for a good cause!”

I picked up the Multicam version last time around. Quality and workmanship are excellent. I love showing up at a gathering of Scots wearing this chic ensemble. My carry weapon fits nicely in my sporran, which is good, except when my girlfriend asked me “is that a gun in your sporran, or you just glad to see me” I had to admit it was a gun in my sporran. Of course, when she asked me to raise my kilt to prove it . . .

I’m not sure breathability needs to be a selling point for a kilt, 5.11.

Does it come in ATACS Tartan? Campbell pattern maybe? Those damn Campbells!!!
