How an unofficial announcement can drive down prices.

    • Paul says:

      That’s hilarious!!!

    • Riceball says:

Given how generally unpopular UCP is and seeing as how it’s going to be phased out soon I think that LBT is going to have a hard time giving away their remaining stock of UCP gear.

      • Bussaca says:

“Phased out soon”… we’ll be in UCP for 10 more years before wear out date becomes official.. so this actually might be a good idea.. Hell 15 years from now they’ll spend another couple million dollars and decide to go back to UCP…

        • Bussaca says:

“Out with the old, in with the new” So where’s the “NEW”?… oh thats right you don’t have it either…

  2. Mick says:

Love the old Mortal Kombat “Scorpion” reference

  3. The Stig says:

I would offer them money to just burn it all.

  4. D says:

70% off seems a little much since there hasn’t been an official Army announcement and not even an unofficial announcement from the Air Farce.

    • D says:

And then the more I think about it, maybe LBT is part of the in-the-know in the industry that were informed earlier than the rest of us.

      • SSD says:

        They definitely knew early on.

I don’t know if they know for a fact but it has seemed like the writing was on the wall for ACU for a long time. Now it just feels like a good time to dump it because if they wait for the offial word, this extremely well made kit becomes worthless. Better to recoup some loss than none at all.

  5. Craig says:

Hell yeah,LBT! I am damn sure gonna head over and see what they have that I can almost steal off them!

KRYLON CHANGES ANY CAMO OR BASE COLOR. I know because I JUST did it yesterday. I have 2 Eagle/TSSI M9 packs, which I love design-wise, but the camo sucked.

I decided to do something, and having “Krylon Kamo’d” several nylon items in the past to blend in better with environment (body armor carriers and pouches, & several III day and ALICE packs) thought better to try, than to have them just sitting at the bottom of a plastic tote.

*The first, used and faded from use during a deployment, I decided to try and paint over the ACU digital camo nylon using krylon (OD,Tan Black) and over-painting the digital with a “Woodland”-ish camo pattern. Much to my delight, it turned out better than I ever imagined. Completely covered and no ACU digital bled thru nor is visible anywhere on the pack. Nowhere…inside or out.
*The second M9 is almost new. I decided to paint this one all black. (BTW: there was enuff Black Krylon left over after doing the woodland pattern on above pack, as well as re-painting my helmet) SO, hung it up on a line and started painting. Fast-forward,and once entire pack-inside & out-was covered & overpainted black, then dried, looked like it had always been black, not a ACU digital craptastic patterned M9. This one, also, had no digital camo “Bleed thru” at all. No lines, colors or traces of previous life is visible at all.

All this was to let you guys have the chance of getting top notch tactical nylon products in a sub-par camo pattern for what could almost be considered a steal, lol.
Ya’ll better hope I leave ya’ something 😛

PS: Just a FYI-I have also tried chemical dyeing nylon, with no success. The camo patterns always showed through,no matter if it was powder or chemical dye, or any technique(s) used. I have also tried with uniforms, with the same results-shitty. Only Krylon works, and then only for gear

*adds to cart* “Get over here!!!”

They’ve been giving away some of their UCP and ABU for dirt cheap prices for a while. For packs and plate carriers and such, yeah I wouldn’t buy it. But for loadout bags that basically just see your basement, truck, and range/outdoors I wouldn’t care.

Sure some of your friends might poke fun at you but the last laugh is yours when it only cost $80 lol

  8. Daniel says:

Such a great deal, but I still don’t want to pay that price for a bag I can’t stand to look at. Pattern sucks!
