TacticalGear.com is currently selling the Under Armour Valsetz RTS boot in Black one month ahead of its projected release date, and is the only online retailer currently doing so. The Coyote and Desert Sand color options will be available starting July.
Initially revealed during SHOT Show 2014, Under Armour’s Valsetz RTS (Redesigned Tactical Shoe) boot features an updated tread and instep which is designed for Fast rope operations. They replaced the stitching in the upper with a welded reinforcement. Additionally, the entire shoe is DWR coated. The top incorporates the Clutch Fit technology from their football shoes. This fit works much like taped ankles without the additional weight. The RTS is also 2 ounces lighter than the standard Valsetz.

Seriously Don’t think you could have design a better sole to pick up pebbles
CSMs will literally implode when they see a Soldier wearing these.
…aaaaand THIS is why they pushed the update to the boot regs. No doubt a great boot for the trip between the couch and the door for the pizza delivery guy (Diet soda please, I’m on the Weight Control Program). Not so much for ANY OTHER THING a warfighter could conceivably do.
Basically the Valsetz are great boots for range and basic security duties like check points and so on.
But I get the problem of grunts using them for ruck marches and expanded field duties. If you handle this boot as just another tool in the toolbox they are a good buy.
These were really designed for LE use.
Makes sense given the first colorway was black and it lookes to be shorter than “standard” military hight. That Logo is obnoxious though. But that is kind of UA’s thing.
Yes many of our LE students like them. Also great boots for security Detail.
So would these boots be any good for long distance ruck marching or should I look elsewhere? I currently wear the S.W.A.T.S but they’re not the most comfortable.
