During his recent trip to France, SSD’s editor picked up a pair of these Salomon Speedcross LTR LTDs. Part of a limited edition run, the Speedcross LTR is a full grain leather version of the Speedcross 3 trail running shoe. Fearing a traditional lacing system in lieu of Solomon’s Quicklace system, the LTR comes with an abrasion resistant lining that allows for breathability and quick drying, a leather footbed, protective leather foot cap, and protective mud guard material all around the base of the shoe.
No word yet on a release Stateside, but they can be found online if you’re looking for a pair.

Dope!
Pair those with a pair of Multicam skinny jeans and a “Who’s your Baghdaddy” t-shirt & you’re ready to slay ’em anywhere PBR is served in tall boy cans…
Hahaha. Spot on!
OMG. You use “spot on”. Flog yourself.
How is that so flog-worthy? Educate me.
hipsters dont drink PBR anymore. get with the program
I’m game! Hit’em with some Leder Gris and go!
How long will the soles last on these?
It’s the same material as the standard Speed Cross which of course depends on oh much you wear them. These are a leather shoe so they’re really more about a night out than a Tough Mudder.
Fair enough, I love my speedcross shoes but the soles are just melting off even with limited use. I suppose it’s what gives them so much grip I just wish they’d last longer.
Me too
I was just thinking the other day about a pr of business casual tacticool shoes.
Thats exactly what I was thinking when I saw these…..hope they make their way CONUS.
Am I the only one who thinks these things are UGLY?
Chances are good you won’t get a chance to pass them up anyway. I’m not sure if they’ll even be available in the US. Next time you see me wearing them be sure to point out my ugly, but oh so comfy shoes.
Funny, they’ve been available in South Africa for a while now.
The toe looks like these shoes are designed for climbing chainlink fences. These would be great for E&E’ing away from the Courtesy Patrol on a drunk and stormy night!
I tried these on last week here and walked around the store debating hard about buying them. They actually look pretty nice in person and fit like a glove as the speedcross line does. But the steep tag they carried made me put them back. Calamity and woe!
