This week’s story from Tactical-Life.com is a details 6 AR and AK pistols and a MAC-10 derived 9mm from a variety of firearms manufacturers. The article also partially mentions the SIG Sauer SB15 Pistol Stabilizing Brace.

“if you like .45 ACP combat round, try .223 Remington”…what does that even mean? Also, the DB15 is pictured with a backwards Aimpoint Micro. And the term “Megapistols” is begging for an anti-2A scare campaign. I love AR pistols, but this article is terrible…
Another thing that should be noted is that the standard 55grain and 62 grain 5.56 projectiles need a velocity of 2700fps to fragment; this requires a 10″ barrel or more in testing I’ve seen.
Most of these pistols are under that barrel length, giving you the incredible muzzle blast of a 5.56 SBR, without rifle level terminal ballistics. A .45 ACP JHP or 5.7 SS198 would most likely outperform them in a much smaller package, especially if the goal is HD. I would wager that even the MAC loaded with Gold Dot 124grain +p would perform better.
Here’s some good testing that I was able to find with a 7.5″ barrel. Most loads either failed to expand, or expanded to sub- .45Ball levels.
