Geissele Automatics’ own Bill Geissele demonstrates the new Super Sabra trigger for the Israeli Tavor. It is a derivative of the popular SSA trigger, and will have a similar pull and feel around 4.5 lbs.
That mark on Bill’s face is the exhaust from the use of the SilencerCo Saker556 suppressor. Geissele has stated that the ambidextrous ejection port was not completely seated allowing some gas to escape.

Looks like somebody needs to get a Flex swivel.
Uh, they are going to fix that “gas in the eye” thing I hope?
Midwest industries makes an aluminum ejection port cover that seals it up nice and tight.
The factory cover with some RTV around the seam works great. It’s not “pretty” but it works and it’ll save you $35 or more. Gear head works makes a cover as well. It’s a little more expensive but offers a QD mount.
Looking forward to trying the Sabra.
You talk’n to me….
Had the same (gas) thing happen on a suppressed Austeyr, but lower, near the mouth. Another point against bullpup configured rifles.
I love ya Bill. Great triggers…
That being said, the thought of a 4.5# trigger on a Tavor scares the hell out of me.
Beauty mark of freedom.
Excellent example of why wearing eye pro isn’t just something for n00bs.
