Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) November 05, 2014

RMJ Tactical recently expanded their existing building to include additional office and factory space. This expansion project has doubled the size of their production space, which in turn will expedite production operations, allowing them to manufacture tactical tomahawks more efficiently. New support equipment, a manual lathe and mill, was purchased in September for the expanded production space.

Office and shop equipment was moved in small stages beginning on October 20. RMJ Tactical is eager to complete the set up and reorganization of the new space over the course of the next two weeks.

“Setting up the new shop has taken us out of production for about three weeks, but with the new space our production lines are much more clean and much more efficient. We anticipate that this will increase our efficiency and let us produce higher quality and higher numbers,” says Richard Carmack, Chief Operations Officer.

RMJ Tactical’s original space was approximately 1,800 square feet, with nearly 1,500 square feet dedicated to production and the remainder as office space. The new expansion project has created an additional 600 more square feet of office space, and nearly 2,000 more square feet of shop floor. The shop floor now has a designated heavy machine area where the new equipment is located, as well as a finishing area.

According to Carmack, expansion of the shop floor was done in an effort to expand RMJ Tactical’s services and further streamline their production processes for all of their products. RMJ Tactical sells their products both nationally and internationally, with customers hailing from as far as South Korea. “We ship to 22 countries around the world,” Carmack states.

During the reorganization phase of the expansion project, RMJ Tactical allows visitors to view the new space on Thursday afternoons.

“We love it when people come in and see us working in the shop. The move has put a halt on visiting and tour days, but we’re hoping to bring this back sometime mid November,” says Carmack.

Great products. Have had a shrike for about 5 years. Great for getting holes into metal and digging in rocky soil. Even used it once as an expedient anchor point. Spoke with the owner by phone when i ordered mine. He was extremely helpful and we talked for about 20 minutes.
