The PIG Swift Mechanical Support (SMS) Sling combines aspects of a Quick Adjust 2-point sling and traditional Loop sling into an adaptable weapons retention and shooting platform. The SMS includes a support strap, which connects to a midway point on the rifle just forward of the action. When the SMS is utilized as a 2-point sling, this strap stays out of the way, however when a supported shooting stance is needed, the user only has to thread their arm through the forward loop created by the front and support strap, re-grasp the forend, and touch their elbow to any solid contact point (knee, vehicle, wall, etc.) to anchor their firearm.
Available in Black, Coyote Brown, and Ranger Green. Made in the USA.

Otherwise known as a ‘Ching sling’, after Eric Ching. Used on Scout rifles around the world.
In other words, they’ve come up with a nylon adjustable Ching Sling.
I was just about to make that exact comment. This is nothing new.
Although after watching the video, which I admittedly did not do before commenting, he does acknowledge the ching sling.
basically yes
For use on an AR, I prefer the Rhodesian sling like those from Andy’s Leather. Andy’s Ching slings are on most Gunsite and Cain students’ practical / scout rifles, and Dave comment about them being used around the world is consistent with my observations over the past 20 years.. I recently noticed that Ruger is now selling them for their Scout rifles. Andy is making both the Ching and Rhodesian in Biothane now as well, and I am planning to give one a try.
while I don’t have a need for one I seem to recall hearing more then one person having a hard time finding a ching sling (or one they liked) I expect this to be well received.
Check andysleather.com for both leather and synthetic.
