Here are the first official photos of the inaugural 2015 SALOMON FORCES range, designed specifically for military and law enforcement.
Based on end-user demand in Europe and the USA, the French company Salomon developed a new segment of footwear products for professional customers.
Based on popular, existing models that have already proven their mettle during hard missions over the span of multiple deployments, Salomon has adjusted a few features to make them even more appealing for FORCES customers.
Closed-hooks, gusseted tongues, murdered-out and tan colorways are the primary features they’ve integrated into the new line. But they haven’t stopped there. Salomon is applying over 20 years of footwear expertise into the continued development of FORCES for the foreseeable future.
The very Salomon line was created for extreme winter sports. They have been built to withstand extreme cold weather in mountainous conditions. Turns out, they are also well suited for load-carriage during fast movements during recce and direct action missions. But now, they’ve increased the brand’s versatility across more environments by offering the choice of shoes with or without Gore-Tex membrane.
Thus far, the FORCES line consists of 14 articles that will enhance the performance of tactical law enforcement and military end-users everywhere.

Very nice! Any idea if there going to be expanded sizes in this line?
i know right !
They look promising but are they going to be available in widths or at least a wide version? I have had very good experiences with my Salomon footwear in the past but they are hard to recommend if the fit is limited.
I have the same issue but have found the non-goretex shoes to be a little wider in the toebox. Combined with the Arcteryx dry sock this meets a lot of my 3-season backcountry needs.
The GTX models I just have ordered a size and make up the space with a thick outer sock and thin liner sock. No problems and many miles.
XA PRO 3D MID GTX FORCES 2 <<<<< This is an amazing boot for LEO, but it really would benefit from a version WITHOUT GoreTex for hotter / warmer climates like Australia here where its 100+ at the moment.
I wear the GTX now, feet swimming.
What do you think the shoe right below it is?
This was an ‘attention to detail’ test… Well done…. I’ll be outside.
I wore a different color of these same boots in Helmand, and they were not overly hot to wear. They do breathe amazingly well for gortex boots
Could we get a closer pic of that “Navajo” color? I like it.
WTF It’s not available in France…
There are some Gen 1 (?) on LEAFgear.com:

So I’m assuming they will get these as well eventually. I know they have posted on SSD so hopefully a response soon.
I am interested in the non-GTX versions as well.
Yep, but i need it in Black for LOE 😉
Are they releasing in the quests in coyote or a mod brown colour for uk troops ?
The assumedly ‘dark khaki’ featured on the XA PRO 3D MID GTX FORCES 2 above could work, if it was applied to the whole boot, but I doubt you’ll see any of these boots in an HM Forces issued boot colour – the private sales UK military market isn’t exactly massive.
Bad ass.
I kick the shit out of mine and they keep (comfortably) coming back for more….
Looks like US ELITE GEAR has them in stock, I’m sure TD and others are soon to follow….
The Navajo (I’m assuming) looks a little light to be compatible with OCP.
Sgt Major says no Salomon for you!
navajo is one of the most light color for this boots…..how to avail this boots….please….
I seem to have given up hope with Salomon in general as I can never find wide sizes.
You ever just trying to up the size, I have a wide foot and it is what has worked for me for a while now.
MFF? Military Free Fall? I own a pair of the 4Ds. Are the laces coming away from the hooks for some people?
I would assume it is so nothing catches on the hook.
Bingo.
These and other Forces models have been on this site for a week or two. Nice color ways.

I’ve had the 2015 Forces catalog for the better part of 3months now. The one boot I am excited for is the 4D without Gtx.
Still no size 14 wide 🙁
Very cool, it would be nice to see some 670-1 compliant boots from them. Seems like they wouldnt be too far off if the materials are appropriate. Looking forward to more.
Everything they make is way too narrow, I don’t know who can wear their boots?
I go up a half size.
Does anyone have a link for the Non-GTX versions?

Thanks!
Good timing, SSD! I just posted a writeup on a couple of models:

you’re a saint.
Too bad these don’t come in AF puke green. Can we move over to OCP yet?
