The Java is a new urban pack from Mystery Ranch. It takes the TT-zip concept to a whole new level, with the center zip accessing a compartment and the large U shape, dual zip opens the main compartment from either side making it ambidextrous.
The Java offers padded mesh back and shoulder straps.
It’s a 21l design with dual compartments on either side of the center access zip.
Last but not least, it can be opened completely.
Coming FALL 2015, in Black, Coyote and Midnight.

Nice looking pack. A few questions:
1. Is the back panel lined in velcro?
2. What is the purpose of the folder over wings shown above the back panel in the last picture?
3. Did MR mention an anticipated price point for this pack?
Patrick here from Mystery Ranch
1. The back panel is not lined in Velcro
2. The fold over wings are so the pack can accommodate different sizes of laptop computers.
3. A retail price has not been set yet but it should be around $190.
I love when the manufacturer replies to questions! Thanks Patrick.
One more – is this going to be Berry compliant or undergo final assembly in the US? Thinking about putting off a GoRuck purchase if that’s the case.
A Go Ruck purchase? Choke yourself
SPIT THAT KOOL AID RIGHT IN THE FACE.
Huh what, a manufacturer working a solution for evolving form factors?
Thanks for the responses; I appreciate it.
Patrick,
Can you provide the pack’s dimensions? Also, is there an admin panel somewhere in there? Thanks!
Pretty sweet looking pack.
I really dig the pack and will probably buy one. Only thing that I don’t like are the MR logos are too bright on the back and front. IMHO they should be a little more subdued.
Mailed Mystery Ranch re: the pack and received the following:
“Thank you for your interest in Mystery Ranch Backpacks. The Java is a pack that is only available in our Asian markets and will not be available domestically. ”
Crossed wires maybe, or another one like the One-day assault pack?
