Is there any utility to this item or no? Is this a no-go item for flying?

  2. AbnMedOps says:

Looks like a finger-breaker, if the operator is overpowered by the operatee. Don’t want my fingers trapped inside anything like that.

  3. Ex Coelis says:

Looks ‘utilitarian’ enough for me… And adapting one’s hand-hold to this device(as to not break a finger) looks entirely do-able. Next to the Spartan CQB, looks like a decent ‘contender’ for the title. More’s the pity that the ‘RAIDOPS’ link is down(perhaps they’re looking for another ISP?). Cheers and thanks for posting this article, SSD!!

      Agreed, great looking tool.

Utility? Is that guy even looking? This thing is chock full of utility!

Finger-breaker? If you’ve deployed this offensively the last of your worries should be what happens to your finger. Besides, there’s only small strike surfaces available to try to wrench the thing from your hand; you’d practically have to have the hand immobilized or damaged already to effectively use it to manipulate the wearer’s joint.

For me, there’s no utility if there’s no bottle opener. Is there one and I’m just not looking at it right?

        • DA says:

the only bottle opener I see on it would be employing the Bic Lighter pry-method with the pry-tool turned horizontally and placed under the cap. Always works.

Sort of agree with Diggler: make the holes into common box-wrench sizes, add a bit driver, a small bend for a prybar, maybe a nail pullet notch, a glass-breaker/raker, I’m all over it. I need a pocket prybar that can double as a defensive tool far more than I need a defensive tool that can double as nothing.

At least there is always the pocket Stanley wonder bar…
