Rampart Range Day -Scepter

Canada-based Scepter is the number one producer of gas cans in North America.  Their NATO style jerry cans are used worldwide.  In addition to the cans themselves, they also offer two different spouts as well as hard plastic packaging for munitions.

They’ve also introduced a new spigot for their water cans that makes it a snap to get exactly the amount of water you want without waste.

If only we could get those fuel cans in the US! Last I checked the EPA was making it difficult for off-roaders to get anything but the rate limited type you can find at walmart. Lame!

    • Matt says:

I know they really are great and way more durable than the epa approved cans

It’s not just the EPA. It’s also the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Children’s Gasoline Burn Prevention Act, too.

  2. Canadian says:

Only criticism is that it’s spelled “Scepter” (with two “e”s).

I like the spigot, looks like it would stop an unbelievable amount of wasted water.

Trying to hold the canteen upright with one hand and pouring the jerry with the other.

Always loved the USGI water jugs. The “donkey dick” spouts are always in short supply, but when you can get one they work great for pouring POLs.

    • Bolty says:

Hey we call them DD as well! We have the Fuel and Water cans in NZ. Only issue we have is sometimes aligning the breather hole on the DD with the can breathers.

      • CrustyCameron says:

We call them horse cocks in Canada…looks like we all go by a common theme! The donkey dick name is reserved for the sausages served at some bases.

When I was in the service, we called them DD, also…..now that I have retired I call them “mini-me”….

Bring back the fuel containers. Funny how our government can keep these out of the country, but they can’t keep anything and or anyone else out………….

I discovered this in 2008 when I went to order more from USCAV and not available……… Then searched high and low on internet and nada……. Unless you live in Canada……..
