I’d like to honor this nation’s birthday by sharing one of my favorite parriotic songs, “America the Beautiful”.

Happy Birthday, United States of America!!! On this particular day, your cousins to the North, stand on guard for thee. As a former Canadian Gov’t hired Private Contract security worker(Comm’s), I was privileged to work with various elements in the U.S. Armed Forces throughout my five tours(in Afghanistan & Iraq). In retrospect, I now realize that I was lucky enough to work shoulder-to-shoulder with some of THE most kind-hearted, generous and talented individuals this world has ever known. Very much like Chuck Yeager stated at the end of his book; at the end of my days, I will face my Creator and say “Thank you for the life you gave me, Lord. All in all, it was ball”. Thank you, USA and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you.
P.S. to Sergeant D. Ross – from the bottom of her heart and keeping you in her daily prayers nightly complines ; my wife says thank you for getting me home safe.
This should absolutely have been our national anthem. The one we’ve got is awkward to sing, and frankly all the other verses past the first are kind of crazy.

I wish I could capture- in words- how this song makes me feel about this country.
God bless America.
