For this week’s FirstSpear Friday Focus, we’re taking a look at the Improved IFAK Med Thong. Utilizing the 6/9 attachment system, the Med Thong can attach to either standard PALS/MOLLE or the 6/12 Pocket Attachment System. The Thong can fit a variety of IFAKs, and the inclusion of 6/12 slits along the sides and top flap allows for the attachment of additional medical pouches, such as the FirstSpear Tourniquet Pouch and Rapid Access Pocket, Pressure Dressing.
Available in Black, Coyote, MultiCam, and Ranger Green. Note that this products consists of the Thong only, and does not come with the Med Pocket.

So now we’re making pouches for our pouches?
Can’t say ya didn’t see it coming

Good idea. Solves the issue of mounting an IFAK permanently to PALS and having trouble accessing it when you need it. Now the entire IFAK can be in your hands.
Works well if you have an existing medical pouch.
Not sure how every one feels about the size of the Ifaks, but it just seems like they get larger and larger and more cumbersome every day, for years I have used a FSBE E/R pouch instead of the issued USMC IFAK, it’s worked great in both mounted and dismounted and I’m current looking at something even slimmer that can still offer the same reliability !
I use a SORD tear away IFAK. Takes up 2 columns width and still big enough to carry most essentials.
