Sweet, is that all the new stuff for this season?

  2. I want one of the comforts in insulated but don’t want red. Looks like uninsulated might have to be my go to.

Any chance that they might be making these in non-“Fruit Loops” colors, ie., something a bit more ‘tactical’?

    • SSD says:

      No such luck

Then there’s an opening here for a new business by making covers for these in more tactical colors. Make them out of some lightweight, yet sturdy material that’s stretchy and you’d have yourself a winner.

Pads is one place where I don’t see the point of earth tones. How often would one be using a pad and not be under any cover at all? And then the upside of a bright color pad is that it makes a heck of a signal panel if the need arises. Since I’ve never been in the military, perhaps I don’t know what I don’t know on the visibility front.

There were a lot of times I was on a pad with no overhead cover. There were times that we didn’t bother with a shelter and just flaked out.
