Unity Tactical – KNUCKL Helmet Mount

knuckl-full-fde

Unity Tactical’s KNUCKL is a modular helmet accessory mount. Designed to mount to a helmet’s accessory rail, such as those on Ops Core, Team Wendy, and Crye helmets, the KNUCKL features tension-adjustable 3-axis articulation, and allows for the mounting of up to two accessories. The KNUCKL also incorporates a socket for the Wilcox Retention Lanyard, which retains gear during a break-away.

Available in Black and FDE.

Sounds like a pretty cool design. Can never have enough headborne gadgets.

Why hasn’t anyone figured out a way to mount Peltors on the rear arc rails, ie, vertically like the RAC headset? It’s not that complicated. It can basically work the same way that the Liberator III neckband headsets do. The vertical rails literally get used for nothing 99% of the time.

If you can keep the peltors off the horizontal section, something like this would be better, especially for the contour

Just use the normal Arc rail adapters, but mount them like you said. The seal won’t be perfect, but it works. See these SF guys running Contours and Arc rail adapters.

Wait for the Ops Core com set… They used the rear one. Peltor could probably come up with a similar one, but before Arc rails was a thing a lot of Norwegian SF bolted them right onto their helmet which is probably why they are currently offered in a vertical model..

The nubs for the headband interface on the Peltors aren’t really that well positioned to allow for a horizontal arm.

I could also see them shearing off.
