We’ve all had our TDY adventures…
But did he die?
Expanded Universe non-canon…so yeah he’s dead. If he wasn’t he’d be a senior citizen by now since he was close to Luke’s age, actually slightly older.
Anyway Boba Fett was also an overrated character only kept by Lucas to sell toys. Boy did that work!
Yeah well Han Solo is still out there doing Work. Gives us old farts hope.
Lucas/Disney/all those other merch profiteers out there didn’t give two shyts about Fett for a REALLY long time. The popularity of his character came “up” from the fans, whose enthusiasm always mystified the film franchise folk (as the canonical authors built careers incorporating him continuously into the arc).
He may be a “minor” character in the films but he’s that “GREY” man who moves freely across the Empire and among the ne’er do wells on its fringes, accepting bounties only on those who deserve them. Which may or may not be the attraction of OPT’s customer base…
