I like this. I’m in the market for some new handguards. I’ll be buying about twenty of them to set up quite a few rifles. I’ve been leaning towards the Troy Alpha but this looks real good and has some really good specs. SKD always makes good stuff. What I want to know is what does it mean by “lightweight anti rolling QD attachment”
The “anti-rotational QD mount” should be a rotation limiting QD socket, meaning that if you have a QD sling it will never be able to rotate around itself which leads to the sling getting twists in it. As far as QD mounts go, these are the only way to go. They usually can still rotate 1/4 or maybe 1/2 a turn but never the full way around.
Cheers!
Thanks for the response. I get the anti rotation part I’m just wondering what “light duty” has to do with it.
I wonder to. I’m sold on keymod however, I would highly recommend bcm’s KMR alpha or KMR original rail.
this comes in keymod….
I believe that means the QD ring/sling mount locks in the position you install it in and does not rotate freely.
