I love all the hate Che gets. Anyone who wants to learn about insurgency or how to overthrow governments could learn a lot from Che. Trust fund college kids should not be in love with Che. Americans that have to take third world booger eaters and organize them into a centralized and effective fighting force (thats us for the last 15 years ladies and gentlemen) are the ones that should be idolizing him.

He wasn’t very good at insurgency. He was much more effective as a martyr to the cause.
Contemporary FID in the Middle East isn’t Communist UW in Cold War Latin America, not even close. He wasn’t seeking to establish security forces and improve infrastructure; he was raising guerilla armies to destroy existing security forces. Understanding and studying him is important in learning about our enemies, true, but beyond that unless you are raising a true UW army, he really doesn’t bring much to the table. You can learn far more from Mao as far as UW is concerned.
Agreed, although I will say the methods necessary to dominate human terrain are universal. Your comprehensive knowledge explains why your shop is more geared toward the end user than the typical tactical gucci boutique.

Che proved the Communism is a religion. Person-Mythology. You see the same thing about Obama. “Hope” etc is something you use in religion. 2008 election was like some Church meeting.
