The NVG Adapter will attach any HERO model to a night vision goggle with a PVS-14 Eyepiece Assembly. While the TNVC NVG Adapter for GoPro HERO will technically interface with all standard HERO models, it is optimized for the HERO4 Black and Silver as well as HERO3 and HERO3+. A translucent Wilcox Industries amber beam-splitter attaches to the rear of the goggle, bouncing the night vision image 90° into a perpendicular-mounted GoPro HERO camera. The camera mounts snugly against the goggle to minimize profile, via a clamp arm that attaches around the NVG Eyepiece Locking Ring. The user sees through the beam-splitter eyepiece normally while the first person POV is recording.

Kudos TNVC, this is an awesome piece of kit
I would love to have this but the screen on my GoPro hero+ Lcd would be emoting a light that is greater then the green over my eye with the gain all the way up. Also since I have the touch screen one I cannot put a piece of black paper in the housing. Or tap over it. And the camera doesn’t come out like the other GoPro series.
You can turn off the lcd screen in settings. Sadly, the hero + lcd will still fall short in use with the adapter. You’ll want a hero 3 or hero 4 to be able to use a narrow field of vision or your videos will be of a small green dot. I had the hero+lcd and tried it with the adapter and my pvs14 and it flat out sucked. I ended up selling my hero+and buying the hero 4 black. Now the video is phenomenal. I’ve taken it hog hunting so far and it is unreal how good the video is. Next I plan to run with it at some of our scenario paintball games and use it recording at night.
