Spuhr’s G3 Stock

Håkan Spuhr has been working on this collapsible stock for the G3 for about 6 years.  Having been smacked in the cheekbone with the issue stock, I can say, this upgrade is most welcome.

At IWA he told me it was where he wanted it.  Coming soon!

Would this fit MP-5 series guns as well? I’m not very familiar with the H&K model differences.

    • Lasse says:

No. The MP5 only has 1 pin and no built in recoil spring, while the G3 has 2 pins and a built in recoil spring. It’s also bigger..

      • Brent says:

Why would H&K design their products to have limited parts sharing? Do they hate us?

        • J. V. says:

I hope I am missing the sarcasm in this response. Otherwise, please list all the manufacturers who provide parts commonality between a 9mm submachinegun and a 7.2mm battle rifle.

We have AK4/G3 collapsible stock, made in Estonia, by Estonian .. so far so good, it is easy to handle, adjustable up to 3 1/8 inches, here is the video how it works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV4c2Ja8ht8 and here is the crush test for original G3 stock vs stock mentioned in video. More stuff for AK4/G3 from same brand is here http://www.takvar.ee/EM-TACTICAL

Kind of surprised they went with what looks like an AR/M4 type buffer tube in the design..

    • Maskirovka says:

The stock has to slide down something. A round tube likely provides the least amount of friction.

And it only took them 6 years to develop?! Next you’ll tell me they are going to put a man on the moon! Hahahahaha!

  4. Peter W says:

I’t seems like the stock has ingraved sign for the Swedish Armed Forces, “three crowns”. Ordered for them?

    • Dev says:

Yeah, i’m surprised no one has mentioned that earlier actually. Usually that seems like a big deal, and they even remove the symbols when selling off surplus uniforms for example.

      Any more information about that?

    • Swede says:

Yes, it’s a SWE army order. Upgrading existing G3 rifles to serve in a DMR role.

  5. Glenn@Badger Ord says:

Good looking stock. I am surprised they did not integrate a rear sling mount, other than forward mounted “HK hook” attachment point. On a full size battle rifle it would definitely be an option I think most users would want.

    • Jbgleason says:

It’s HK, it is most definitely not about what the customer wants. It is about what they decide to give you and you will be happy about it!

  6. Joglee says:

    So it’s a car stock?

  7. Maskirovka says:

I am digging the check rest. The check weld benefits of a Magpul UBR without all the weight/bulk.
