Michigan Defensive Force Institute has developed a Training Passport to keep track of attendance at their entire course catalog.
The spiral bound logbook features hard plastic covers that will protect the waterproof pages. That’s right, the pages are printed on Rite-in-the-Rain paper. You can write on it but it won’t turn to mush if it gets wet.
As you can see, the pages are well laid out and include plenty of room for notes.
They’ve even included blank pages for attendance at courses presented by other instructors.

What a cool idea.
Awesome idea, beautiful execution.
Very well done
Maybe 10 years ago I took a motorcycle operator course from Harley Davidson – they had a superior student workbook; I promptly stole the format to apply to agency training stuff.
Is this something that they give out to every student as part of the course?
Because tough it is a great example of a training log book, I wouldn’t see myself actually paying for something that is oriented toward a single company.
The first few pages are for MDFI specific classes. The rest of the notebook is for classes by other instructors. “They’ve even included blank pages for attendance at courses presented by other instructors.’
I’m not sure what your point is Franklin.
I think he’s letting PPGMD know that it’s not oriented entirely towards MDFI.
Good idea, nicely done.
I think PPGMD is wondering if it’s something they give to students as well.
MDFI… USED to be my little known secret training group. Best value for dollar in almost the entire country.
Trek was one of the first formal firearms instructors I ever had. Great guy and can really teach well.
Cool
