    kryptek for the win

You can thank eBay for that. Lot of AOR gear on there being sold to anybody anywhere.

    • James says:

Meh, airsoft companies had AOR 2 out well before you could find genuine gear. The concept of producing something as simple as fabric and relying on it remaining a unique identifier in an age of counterfeit everything is pissing in the wind. All you are doing by making possession in the home country illegal is creating a false trust.

Since AOR2 is going Navy wide, I would expect to see more. Packs and other bags especially.

Not to be that guy. But the pattern that’s going navy wide is NWU Type III. Which is different in a few small ways.

        • Ed says:

Could you please clarify? I have been issued both, AOR2 non-standard and the USN Type III. With the exception of the tiny USN symbol on NWU Type III, what is the difference you speak of between AOR2 and Type III?

        • James says:

Yes, please clarify on that. Understood that Typeiii was just the nomenclature applied to the uniform cut in that specific pattern. Was unaware of any actual difference in the pattern itself other than the microprint anchor.

Read this article and tell me that AOR on DJI cases isn’t alarming. UAS being sold everywhere and to everyone.

Absolutely excellent patterns, particularly if everyone would get out of putting Black in the pattern. For example dark green or dark brown instead of black. Additionally, use of gray and dark gray is long over due – biologist/ecologist perspective, but hey, what do we know, we just monitor nature right?

And a nice bit of counterfeit PenCott-SandStorm on the left there….

For my own sight , the jungle one is close to the real AOR 2 BUT
BUT the desert one is totally not the AOR 1 ! believe me.
Then however it just a case , right? they still can make it like the
LV or Prada or something else. The important key is what they put
into the case inside! It’s a DRONE ! if the drone is same as the case
color came from the States. That’s really important what happen in
    such chinese company did!

I absolutely love the AOR stuff and own what could probably be construed as too much gear in both patterns. In my experience the color and quality of these two patterns is about right for the knockoff stuff. Sometimes a company will get it really close, like the AOR2 here, and sometimes it’ll be laughably far off, like this poor excuse for AOR1. But this retroduction of these two patterns is due more than anything to their association with “cool guys”. Just look at the Vans X Defcon shoes for all the proof you need of this.
