..isn’t the idea to get BEHIND the cover and not NEXT to it?
Unless Garand Thumb is telling me how to construct a fire or survive a POW camp I ain’t taking him as an SME on anything.
Ouch.
For what it’s worth, I haven’t heard him claim anything he didn’t earn or speak too far outside of his lane.
I get what you’re saying though.
This was Drew and Garett, not Garand Thumb.
True, just saying if you are going to represent yourself as SME’s on gunfighting in an already saturated field of former Action Guys having someone whose claim to fame is as an Instagram gear queer makes me question the knowledge base of the other collaborators.
Def not representing myself as a gunfighting or weapon SME in anyway. If you check the website my expertise is in survival and several other disciplines. For obvious reasons.
Great to see an AF guy comment. I’m knee deep in Army over here.
He did not just shoot rifle ball at that steel target at that distance. Tell me I am imagining that.
REAL smart to show people as an example of whats ok for time convenience while making a video. People WILL emulate the unknown with someone passing themselves off as a qualified source.
Just damm stupid.
Is this a MOAT group reboot?
Garrett used to be VP of SWORD International, if I remember correctly. I met him at SHOT a few times, hell of a nice guy, at least from what i recall, and super knowledgeable too.
I enjoyed this video and his comment about going against what might seem natural, definitely makes sense to me.
Garett is a great guy. Very knowledgeable and a great instructor. RLTW!
