That’s interesting – I was just working on a combat jacket design last week that features an integrated laser-cut PALS panel…

Personally I think it’s time for some quality outerwear in neutral colors that isn’t covered in conspicuous velcro, but I guess that trend isn’t about to die any time soon.

Adding PALS isn’t exactly less conspicuous either.

      “quality outerwear in neutral colors”

Kuiu, OR, Sitka, Dead Bird, TAD, Prometheus Design, Patagonia, and many more, great quality and nowhere near “overt”.

If we keep wearing jackets with velcro sooner or later the hipsters will also wear as some kind of fad, then it becomes covert again. The cycle of the nature!

      • mike says:

while their clothes and coffee are often the same, their physical builds and how they read rarely are. Velcro isn’t the thing calling anyone out.

        Hipster, fudd; same thing

        • mike says:

True in that both are likely to own a firearm or two, but not understand why someone would “need an AR-15”.

It’s pretty getting to the point where tactical gear isn’t even being worn by Tactical people. And that is becoming the new look at me being Tactical by not being Tactical, thefore you know I’m tactical.
