Why not Gen 5, or Gen 4 compatible?
Patents, not gonna happen for a long long time
Well my new Lone Wolf Timberwolf Large frame came with a Gen 2/3 insert, which I had to remove to fit the Glock 40 MOS slide to the frame.
The frame parts on order, so I’ll know in a week or so.
Also, how different is the new Mossberg Glock 43 clone to avoid such patent issues?
I realized patents don’t mean what I thought they did when Ruger ripped off Kel Tec, which seemed a far cry from the Glock vs Sigma legal battle in the 90’s.
We started with Gen3 given it had the longest Generation run-time (15 years) so the saturation on that pistol could arguably be the biggest. We are working on a Gen4 SKU as we speak.
Make in a 80% platform and I’d buy two. A bit off for my taste in looks with the machining in three places but I like it. 80% for WIN!, though.
Thanks for the feedback. We’ve heard that a lot and we agree. We have this turned over to the engineers and the lawyers to make this 80% and to design a fixture for self-machining as well as liability. I have no doubt we will do that eventually but we wanted to at least get these out as an option.
that’s good to hear.
Tit-tay sprinkles! A company that even listens to potential customer wants…
All of these new Glock component compatible frames (Poly80, Zev, etc.) each offer some unique features, but they still all suffer from the same major problem: they are NOT compatible with Glock holsters.
They figure you’re basically building a gun…what’s an extra hour to build a holster? Caveat, I haven’t finished my Poly80 G19 knock off so the holster headache is still ahead.
The new ZEV OZ9 is compatible with most G17 holsters
Your MSRP is also $1700……..
I lol’ed
The ZEV O.Z-9 is compatible with most Glock 17 holsters.
Actually, the Nomad9, and I expect this and others, WILL fit the Safariland ALS & SLS series holsters…if it’s for light-bearing pistols. Because of the way the holster fits the TLR-1HL and other lights, the wider thumb rests & deeper trigger guards don’t affect the fit.
If you’re not using a light on your gat, good luck finding a holster.
agreed, but we all should.
Lone Wolf couldn’t get aluminum to work with Glock parts. What makes you so sure your gun won’t crack and destroy itself?
Fingers crossed for full size option soon!
any reason not to nitride the rails? I’m assuming they’re hardened though.
