B5 Systems is getting back to their roots as an aerospace company with the Hand-held Electronic Audio Radio interface System.
Developed for the Air Force Research Laboratory, the HEARS family of adapters provide radio transmission recording (3-5 hours) and playback for debriefing. Data downloads via a Bluetooth v3.0 connection. Charging is via micro-USB.
This model connects inline with standard radio cables via 6-pin connection, but both hardwired and Bluetooth variants are also available.
This is a cool piece of tech, especially for training AAR
B5 Systems is a solid performer, huge fan of there stocks. It does not surprise me that they would add an item like this to their product line.
>Bluetooth v3.0
Wut? Seriously? Where did they even find a stack or chip for that!?
I wonder if they chose a “military approved” chip and its almost certainly vulnerable to blueborne or some other ridiculous stack exploit that the consumer industry fixed years ago. Hopefully that button on the side is a hardwired radio on button.
