The Gas-Piston operated BRN-180 and 180S upper receivers are fully compatible with any standard, mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver.

It’s nice to see the gas piston market picking up for AR platform rifles.
Personally I prefer a gas piston action. It keeps most of not all combustion gasses out of my face for faster follow-up shots. If there’s no wind of course.
Gas piston charging systems are second to none in reliability if engineered and implemented properly. And you don’t end up with gases in your face. See below.
Never mind Yuriy just slap it together. It’ll work says 28 yr. old Mikhail Kalashnikov to his friend of many years. He was right to even after being dug up out of the ground the AK47 pattern rifles and the loose tolerances it was built under allow it to function even when you think it wouldn’t.
I hope to see inventive and exciting offerings from many manufacturers big and small in the future. Who knows, I may even have a design cooking…
