About this role
The Tactical Sales Manager will help manage all programs related to the Outdoor Research Tactical Sales Channel
What you will do
Achieve annual Tactical Sales Channel revenue and margin goals by developing and understanding new and existing customer requirements and making recommendations for programs, product solutions, and resource allocation
Partner with Tactical Sales Channel to identify and visit relevant DOD units to increase brand recognition
Assist Tactical Sales Director in Government business development via Fed Biz Ops website portal monitoring and identification of opportunities
Develop price proposals for Government products and prepare responses to RFQ/RFP
Partner with the OR factories directly and via ERP system to ensure accurate LTs and deliveries of products are communicated and maintained
Help manage re-seller partners, distributors, and product end users
Attend and manage the logistics for Tactical Trade Shows (ADS Warrior Conferences, Shot Show, Outdoor Retailer etc.)
Partner with OR cross functional resources (Customer Service, Product Development, Marketing, IT) to enhance Tactical customer relationships
Partner with the OR Marketing department to coordinate marketing communications, public relations, and social media platforms; Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc.
Coordinate all content and assets with OR Marketing to create product marketing materials to include the workbook, sell sheets, DTC web portal, and seasonal pricelist
Demonstrate complete command of the customer opportunities (DOD, LE, Tactical Retail, etc.)
Leverage knowledge of competitors and customers to enhance competitiveness and accelerate Tactical Sales Channel growth
Work closely with inside sales team and factory production team to help fulfill customer requirements
Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary

Strong presentation and written communication skills
Comfortable working with Tactical suppliers/partners
Ability to travel up to 10 times a year domestic or international
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
A minimum of 5 years in sales or consumer marketing
A minimum of 4 years of sales forecasting experience
Understanding of military procurement process preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP database skills a plus
Clean driving record
