P50 from KELTEC

The new P50 from KELTEC is a 50 round 5.7mm pistol. It relies on the FN P90 magazine and the top opens like a machine gun feed tray cover to insert the magazine.

    But why?

    • jellydonut says:

Because it’s cool as fuck, obviously

    • Jeremy says:

Why not? Keltec’s whole jam is making weird guns. Remember, bored aerospace enginerds.

    • PNWTO says:

Because some folks have a really weird obsession with 5.7.

      • Ed says:

Yeah, ask anyone…… an HK MP7 clone in 5.7 would be everyone’s wet dream!

        Fa-geta bout-it!!!

    • James says:

People have been asking for a 5.7 pistol version of their CMR30 .22 mag since it came out. About as close as we’re likely to get to an MP7. Think the p90 mag’s a mistake- it’s cool and different but impractical due to limiting rail space, dictating the thickness, and being a pain to carry. Two good 5.7 pistol mags out there,…..

  2. Alpha2 says:

Odd looking for sure, kind of reminds me of the ol’ Calico M950. Seems to be a 5.7 revival going on the past year.

  3. CRBR says:

They probably do market research and see what people are buying, and as a gun manufacturer make a product that uses an already existing magazine, like a glock, and build a firearm around that. If you want a 5.7 gun but don’t want to buy an FN then here you go. Their shotguns are pretty popular.

  4. CRBR says:

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Glock57 in the near future.

This looks like it should be in Star Wars, I like it.

  6. Ed says:

Any plans foe a telescoping brace or folding one? ATF, you listening in???

  7. JS says:

It looks like a oversized live action Westar-35 on The Mandalorian.
