Our parent company Xentris Wireless, has more than 30 years of successful experience in delivering innovative solutions for the mobile and cellular device industry. The company’s leadership in design, engineering and manufacturing expertise enabled it to be the first to develop and launch a universal fast charging solution to support Samsung, Google, and other USB PD devices.

With recent strategic investments, the company is now developing mission-ready power solutions for military users through the EXO Charge division. The EXO Charge team is comprised of industry and military veterans with expertise in commercial mobile and military power programs, and we are looking for good people with a solid track record to join our growing business.

The latest role we are looking to fill is for a Program Manager – Military & Government Services.

The Program Manager manages all the technical aspects of the product life cycle related to military rechargeable batteries and chargers, from inception through end-of-life. The PM collaborates with internal and external resources to establish requirements, set the project schedule, execute design reviews and is responsible for the successful execution of all tasks of product development, design and testing within the scope of the time and cost objectives. The PM will also provide technical leadership for New Product Development (NPD) as well as general Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Maintenance of Line (MOL) activities all within the established Phase/Gate process set in place.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, document, and provide project status reports on each of the projects that are assigned by management. Ensure that project plans are based on complete specifications and customer expectations.

• Maintain project schedule, monitor progress against the schedule, and guide project decision-making to adhere to schedule targets. Guides and resolves resource conflicts and coordinates with functional managers and customers / partners to insure on-time completion of deliverables.

• Assess project risk in key areas (budget, schedule, quality/functionality, cost) throughout the project. Communicate risks to the team and project stakeholders and coordinate mitigation activities.

• Accountable for team’s performance to project targets of schedule, project cost, product cost, feature completeness, and product quality.

• Approve all project expenditures and report on variances as the program progresses.

• Maintain and consistently report program performance metrics.

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships built on Performance and Integrity.

• Support the Sales / Business Development teams to develop and win competitive solutions.

• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Negotiate and track changes to project scope and targets as necessary. Able to exhibit leadership in situations without formal authority.

• Communicate decisions to the team regarding direction and objectives in a way that maximizes ownership and progress toward goals.

• Contribute to relationships with outside design firms, co-development partners, and supply chain partners.

• Provides leadership to project teams through motivation, influence, and coaching of team members – focusing on encouragement and empowerment.

• Maintains strong professional ties to related trade groups and organizations (e.g. PMI, IEEE, AMA) and stays abreast of new developments in key disciplines (e.g. electrical, mechanical, software, marketing, operations, quality).

• Provides regular status updates on the engineering tasks and ensures that they are on track and escalate when off-track

• Establishing the requirements for the engineering team

• Ensuring that all the development documentation is being completed

• Participates in the preparation and coordination of the project agreement

• Utilize the Phase/Gate process to ensure development is executed

• Regular status information shall be provided to the customer

• Works with the Directors of Business Development and Marketing to create product marketing and support literature

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent, ME or EE preferred, with more than 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing in the consumer, telecom, automotive, and/or military industries.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading new product development programs involving advance technology or electronic products.

• Leadership and participation in engineering design review processes.

• Requirements gathering, analysis, tracking, and systems engineering experience.

• Preferred experience in Lithium based battery development.

• Preferred experience with products requiring MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 and agency approvals such as UL, IEC, FCC, CE, TUV.

• Strong quantitative, design, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and products required.
