The EOTECH ELFX mini reflex sight is their first foray into pistol mini red dots.
It features a 3 or 6 MOA dot and features a top access battery compartment and the large rectangular window you expect from EOTECH.
Adjustments are in 1 MOA increments and there are 20 daylight intensity settings as well 10 night vision settings.
BATTERY LIFE:
Approx 25,000 hours (3MOA dot) at brightness level 5
Approx 20,000 hours (6MOA dot) at brightness level 5
Mounting profile is Leupold Delta Point Pro standard.

I can solve this puzzle: thermal drift.
LMFAO thats the first thing I thought of
Funny, but even before the thermal drift “issue”, EOTech had the least amount of parallax shift in any optic. It still does, but it used to too.
Seems like a good choice to direct mount on the M17/M18.
Wasn’t Insight MRDS their first?
Anyone have opinions (with sound reasoning) on selection of the 3 or 6 MOA dot, for personal use?
I think Aaron of Sage Dynamics has a youtube video talking about size choices & why. He’s the man.
Big question, why can’t they get that kind of battery life out of their other optics?
Thats a great question!!
Because their other optics are holographic optics, not LED red dots. With the Holographic sights, you’re paying for the large viewing window and ultra low parallax shift.
