Springfield Armory enters the double-stack 1911 scene with their new Prodigy which is said to the be the first on a growing line.
This 9mm is offered in 4.25” and a 5” models and features a forged steel frame with polymer grip and its Adaptive Grip Texture. The receiver integrates a Picatinny rail and extended beavertail.
Optic ready, the steel slide incorporates the Agency Optic System (AOS) developed in collaboration with Agency Arms to mount red dots and comes with a mounting plate for SA’s HEX Dragonfly. The mounted fiber-optic front sight and rear u-notch are visible through a mounted optic.
The Prodigy comes with 17 and 20 round magazines from the factory but there’s also a 26 round option.
