Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position handles projects and tasks within the customer service and marketing departments. With Defense Mechamisms customer service at it’s backbone, this position is also responsible for overseeing wholesale accounts, copywriting, and other tasks as assigned.


The responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

– Experience engaging with customers in a timely, helpful, and professional manner, this position requires the exchange of emails and phone calls with customers. This position also necessitates clear communication with other departments and department leads.

– Responsible for writing copy. From social media and newsletters to scripts and product descriptions, this role will help create the copy both teams need to convey effective messaging.

– Create and maintain product pages. This role will maintain and build product pages on BigCommerce as needed.

– Plan, organize, and execute photo and video shoots for product overviews, social media campaigns, advertisements, infographics, newsletters, GIFs, animations, video, illustrations, product pages etc.

– Create and schedule consistent social media content (instagram/Facebook/TikTok/youtube) in collaboration with the rest of the marketing team.

– Collaborate with and manage influencers, content creators, ambassadors, models and brand partners.

– Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of Defense Mechanisms products and target markets.

– Manage video, sound and camera equipment and stay up to date on latest equipment needs, as well as needed photo and editing software and tools that will be used in the field and at your desk.

– Other duties as assigned Minimum Position Qualifications:

– Intimate knowledge of tactical industry.

– Able to create high quality and engaging copy.

– Able to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of individuals

– Organized, reliable, and able to problem solve and project manage.

– Intimate understanding of the digital and content marketing landscape.

– Ability to work quickly and independently, but also as part of a team.

– Strong desire to learn, try new things, and problem solve.

– Positive attitude and the ability to work with a variety of personalities

– Excellent written and oral communication

– Valid Driver’s License with a clear driving record
