I have a few rifles that are over $5000. I’d definitely use something like this. Currentlly, I stick them in the pistol grip. I like knowing where my guns are when I loan out to friends or send them off for repair.
I think this is a pretty good idea. I had two guns stolen in shipping this past year and a friend just had another. There will be basically no investigation, the ATF isn’t the slightest bit interested i can tell you. In one of my cases the box was separated from the gun at the point of theft so just hiding it in the box is no good. Pistol grip might work unless someone knows to look which would not surprise me given the number of cases the USPS IG is working. This device looks like it might be an acessory and its difficult to open up so I like that. It can also be put on a pistol rail. There really isn’t a great way to airtag a pistol otherwise. I’m digging it.
Exactly. With as much as I’ve spent on firearms, the cost of this or something similar, that’s more difficult to remove than just popping open a grip, is well worth the peace of mind it gives.
Something smaller and harder to remove would be ideal, but I don’t see anyone else coming up with something better.

Correct. But if your like my wife and constantly use the beeping feature then it’s about 10 months. But we all should have the 2032 batteries on hand just like 123’s. It’s the battery most used in key fobs for vehicles.
