Carcajou Tactical – Recce Mag Pouches

Recce mag pouches are now available from Carcajou Tactical.

This is for everyone that asked for a closed top and buckle closure. They also added a d-ring to give more attachment options on belt kits.

Made in Canada.

So….an ALICE M-16 mag pouch, but in multicam?

    • SSD says:

I don’t see any slide fasteners. Do you?

    • Ray Forest says:

If we are comparing it, its more like any SA80 webbing pouches than ALICE. There’s only so many ways to build a 3 mag pouch.

    • Jon, OPT says:

      Yup exactly the same

      EXCEPT:
      No internal dividers
      No grenade pouches
      No ALICE clips
      No internal plastic supports
      No slide fastener
      No reinforced O-ring
      Has Velcro closure
      Has Bungees
      Has side PALS webbing
      Has plastic D-ring
      Has MOLLE attaching built in
      Has adjustable Fastex closure

Yup, other than that, it’s exactly the same, good call!

Carcajou has come a long way. I still have their CADPAT tactical binder cover the Canex used to sell.

    …whats old is new again….

    • Yes, but now its called “recce”, lol.

    • PB says:

As operational environments change, so does kit.

During GWOT, belt kit with 3-mag pouches was not very helpful when constantly getting in and out of vehicles.

But Velocity Systems made an updated closed-top 3-mag pouch for their “Jungle” kit like a decade ago. And there have been occasional similar offerings from other manufacturers since then. So, I would say this type of thing is “new again”. Just yet another offering for people with the need for their CONOPS.
