Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Lead – Technical Apparel to oversee the development and commercialization of products from design initiation through prototyping to bulk approval. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the development and commercialization process from design initiation through prototyping to bulk approval

• Collaborate with global vendors to communicate design and construction updates, ensuring quality standards are met

• Review costing, compliance testing, quality evaluations, and approval requirements with key stakeholders

• Manage samples, tech packs, measurement charts, and BOMs

• Oversee costing reviews with internal partners

• Create and maintain a Digital Construction Library and Standards Manual

• Research and implement military-specific standards to meet government contract compliance requirements

• Communicate with factories and manufacturing partners

• Manage materials and trim development, including sourcing with manufacturing partners

• Coordinate fit schedules and design floor inventory

• Implement product development software, procedures, and standards

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in technical apparel product development

• Comprehensive understanding of design intent, product aesthetics, construction, production, and fit

• Complete knowledge of the product lifecycle—from ideation to consumer

• Strong expertise in raw materials, technical construction, and sourcing

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator

• Willingness to travel as needed to support business requirements
