I ran across StopBox USA at SHOT Show. Founded with the mission of providing rapid access firearm security without reliance on electronics, it is a Spokane Valley, Washington-based manufacturer of innovative firearm safety and security solutions designed for responsible gun owners.

All StopBox products feature a fully mechanical design that requires no batteries, no electronics, and no biometric systems. Every product is proudly Made in the USA using durable, impact-resistant materials.

The flagship product, the StopBox Pro, is a portable firearm retention device that provides secure storage while allowing rapid access when needed. It’s made from high-impact resistant glass-reinforced polycarbonate-ABS which is steel reinforced.

Offered in two sizes, its customizable mechanical combination system offers over 81 possible combinations and is designed to be child-resistant while remaining easy for the owner to operate. I have 6… one on each floor of the house, two on the work, and one for each vehicle. I highly recommend them as batteries never run out (they don’t need batteries) and are perfect for security. I am looking forward to the drop of the new ammo can they showed off during shot!

These are to keep kids out right? Because plastic hinges on the exterior only needs a cheap trip to harbor freight.

Do you have experience with the item or is this another, “I’ve never actually seen or touched it but it’s important that I share with everyone something I think might be true?”

Its Kydex or an injection molded plastic… a hack saw can get through it… but thas not the point. Rapidly securing your firearm from kids or “bad guys” is the deal. its TSA compliant once you slap a lock on the “Pro” version and you can fly with it. Last I checked there are several bridge overpasses on waterways that have a lot of cracked metal safes acting like boat anchors… so…. a lock only keeps an honest person honest… Right? I have 6 of them as stated above… it works for my family. No batteries to beep at you at night or codes to forget.
