Rest In Peace – Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, CBE, CSt

We have received news that Christopher Lee has shuffled off this mortal coil at the ripe old age of 93.  The man led a full life including service to his country during World War II in the RAF and SOE.  Later, he became an international movie star and even cut a hard rock album.

The man was a badass.

Another of the Greatest Generation gone. Sad news – but as Gen. Patton once said (I believe), “Rejoice that such men lived!”

    RIP Sir.

A sad loss for sure. Not sure about ‘shooter’ status, though–he was an intel guy for the RAF and did some attached work for LRDG. No one seems to know if it was intel-related or trigger-puller work, and he never clarified one way or the other. Regardless, he still maintains badass status in my book.

If there is a Valhalla, we will know where to find him. RIP, sir.

In some lord of the ring commentary/extras he explained how Peter Jackson was getting the sound of a man stabbed in the back with a knife wrong. Then proceeded to demonstrate how it should be done and the sound it made…..
