Chase Tactical – Warrior Wednesday – Warrior Assault Systems RAPTOR Plate Carrier

1

The Warrior Assault Systems RAPTOR Plate Carrier was developed with input from UK Special Operations Units and is based off the SPEAR/BALCS Cut armor. The RAPTOR allows excellent armor coverage while allowing all important movement and mobility.

3

The Raptor has a unique quick release patent Pending system which allows the rig to be adjusted while being worn by the user. In addition the Pull Release (left or right handed installation) is securely located in the front shoulder section and does not interfere with day to day user operations.

4

The interior of the RAPTOR is lined with 4 mm 3D Spacer Mesh Fabric which allows air to circulate around the body for cooling. The 3D spacer mesh fabric also provides enhanced comfort particularly during prolonged periods of operational use.

The RAPTOR has a split front opening flap which allows quick and easy access when the front of the rig is loaded with pouches.

5

The RAPTOR Plate Carrier is currently available in MultiCam, Coyote, Black, and OD Green and comes in two sizes.

All Warrior Assault Systems products are made from genuine U.S. Mil Spec materials and hardware. Warrior Assault Systems is a UK based company.

Warrior Assault Systems makes great kit! I remember when they started showing up in Sweden around ’08-’09. I hesitated buying their gear at first because they were so much cheaper than a lot of other brands..made me suspicious. I decided to try anyway and purchased one of their plate carriers…which turned out to be a good decision. About a year later my whole team was wearing their plate carriers and chest rigs.

They’re not the lightest or most high tech on the market, but they are high quality and worth their price.

Not so much a comment as a question. There appears to be various schemes in creating quick release mechanisms for plate carriers. However, I have never seen one that incorporates the three ring release used on parachutes invented by Steve Booth. Does anyone have an idea on why that quick release application has not been applied to plate carriers? There is probably a good reason, but I cannot figure out why.
