The Genesis 762 is the first in the new SureFire Genesis series of sound suppressors. SureFire claims the Genesis is the quietest .30 cal thread-on suppressor ever built, with a listed sound report as low as 120 dB (when used with .300 BLK subsonic ammunition). It is constructed of stainless steel and Inconel, and features a front hex-head design, which allows for installation & removal even when mounted under an encompassing handguard. The Genesis 762 is designed for use with .300 BLK, .308, and 300 Win Mag, but also works well with 5.56mm.

SureFire’s SOCOM300 SPS Fast-Attach suppressor is, according to SureFire, capable of a sound report as low as 120 dB with the use of .300 BLK Subsonic ammunition. The SOCOM300 SPS is manufactured from Stainless Steel and Inconel, and features highly-specialized v-shaped baffles. Designed for use with .300 BLK subsonic and supersonic ammo, and is also effective for use with .308. 300 Win Mag, and 5.56mm.

Not just specialized, but “highly-specialized”
Out of their minds on the price…..just ridiculous.
I never look at Surfire suppressor prices, it clearly isn’t for me or my casual civilian use.
Just looked it up, not terrible all things considered. I was expecting nearly 2x as much.
The SilencerCo Omega MSRP is about the same. The only problem is that it’s lighter, shorter, and the mounts are about half the price of the SF can, and a mount comes included with the Omega.
Surefire is excellent at coming out with products a few years too late.
I got the SiCO Omega can out of NFA jail in August. The Omega and its competitors are a great choice for those that are casual suppressor users and wanting to use them on a variety of centerfire rifles. Street price for the Omega was between $800-900, SF should be the same.
Previous SureFire cans had their place, but it wasn’t the same market as suppressors like the Omega.
The whole quietest thing I don’t buy anymore. Already fell for it with the Omega. Too many variables and different testing methods combined with marketing. I’m a sucker for weight, length, and price; as opposed to “the quietest”.

The Thunder Beast Arms Ultra 9 boasts 118-120 dB in 300blk and weighs in 11.9 oz if you use their brake, or 13.7 oz as a direct thread and comes in 9 or 7 inch versions. There’s also a 5 inch version that takes it down to 133-135dB in 300blk.
I’d like to see a side by side comparison done from Frank over at snipers hide.
Quietest measured where? so quiet no one heard it complete the test…
It’s also one of the heaviest. You would think for what Surefire charges for the suppressors (and lights) the customer would get equipment made from new, technologically advanced materials and manufacturing.
