OVI / HPG Under Pack Belt

The Under Belt is a collaboration between OV Innovations and Hill People Gear.  Like the name says, this buckle-less design is a low profile pant belt, worn under a pack hip belt but it would be great for use under war/duty belts as well.  It differs slightly from the standard OVI model in that it’s made from double layer 1.5″ 17337 webbing.

Offered in Black and Coyote Brown in three sizes. Make sure you check the site to get the right one.

Available from ovinnovations.com/products/ovi-hpg-up-belt or www.hillpeoplegear.com.

I recently started using this belt (I used to run their previous version) and I have to say, it’s AWESOME. I love not having a buckle. The hook and loop makes it quick to put on and take off. They beefed it up from the previous version and now it’s “just right”. I wish they made it in MultiCam and Kryptek Highlander. 😉

Agreed. I’ve been using the ov version for a few months now and really like not noticing it like some of the bulkier belts. They both come up with some cool stuff.

    Great idea!

HPG is always doing some nylon ninjistu over there.

Interesting! I own an Emdom/MM Adam belt that I’ve worn for rucking and while it’s incredibly comfortable, I sometimes wish it was a bit thicker (it’s just a single layer of 2″ webbing with velcro). This double layered webbing belt might just do the trick.

I was just thinking of picking up a belt for rucking, and this fits the bill!

Thx for the Emdom/Adam steer – just checked it out, think I’ll get one!

I think that less layers and thickness are the best way with a backpack…if you use something thick and stiff like a rigger belt when you move fast the pack will push your pants down due to belt’s thickness that will snug under the low padding area/hip belt, i strongly suggest (after some tests) the SOD gear bdu belt or the adam belt.
