Is this Magpuls answer to the bursting of the AR15 popularity bubble and slowing sales?

Honestly just looks like rehashed 5.11 casual wear.

    • Jack Griffin says:

Diversification into “lifestyle” products is a smart long-term strategy. This was brought up earlier, someone mentioned Harley-Davidson and was spot-on.

I’m buying some of their utility cargo pants. Good features, good price.

5.11 looks like a moto-‘tard safari guide with useless tiny pockets.

Magpul’s stuff looks more like REI for guys that shoot.

    • straps says:

Agreed fully that 5.11’s earlier tactic of relabeling Royal Robbins gear (or baggy, heavy BDUs) was pretty goofy. Their more recent stuff (2016 line) is GTG.

Always room in the market for GOOD clothing. Hopefully more affordable than Dead Bird…

    • SSD says:

      It’s very nice stuff.

  2. charlie taylor says:

say what you will about Magpul branching into clothing, but the announcement video production values have been AWESOME.

  3. Pooper says:

They had me a crotch gusset.

    • Markus says:

I’ve been pretty happy with my Vertx pants (also has a crotch gusset). I’m interested to see if these hold up as well.

  4. Rob says:

Any idea of when they will be available?

  5. Kaos-1 says:

Pog mo thoin, Magpul. Best drinking song ever .

  6. Maskirovka says:

I work in clothes that help me to do a cop’s job without too much looking like a cop. The pants remind me a bit of prAna. Shirts remind me of REI or Eddie Bauer. I’m interested.

Dear Magpul: Don’t go full retard on the logo like VertX. Keep it subtle. Thanks.

  7. Chuck Mac says:

Magpul has to make something they can sell to restrictive markets in Calif and overseas.

    • Whit says:

Look for California to ban “assault clothing” soon. Cargo pants are too scary for the sheeple in the People’s Republic of Kalifornia.

  8. El Terryble' says:

The only Pogs worth a dern is the seminal Irish Folk Punk band of the same naime.

  9. Pooper says:

I’ve been trying to figure out where they’re making this stuff, so I finally just went ahead and called them. The nice lady on the phone told me India and Vietnam FWIW.
