Kickstarter – Wildland Scout Pack

The Wildland Scout Pack is intended for bushcraft enthusiast but worth checking out for pretty much anyone.  I like the combination of modern and traditional construction.

Interesting design but I’ll stick with Mystery Ranch and Kirafu packs

I’m not very familiar with anime other than I think it’s japanese cartoons. What’s the connection with this?

I like how “fastex” clips are always referred to as “military grade hardware clips.” There doesn’t look to be a lot of padding on the shoulder straps though, pretty simple and flat, much like your standard messenger bags.

It looks like a nod to the Very old boy Scout “Yucca Pack”. looks neat and retro…

Very much like the packs available currently from Chrome or Mission Workshop. as far as I can tell, the laser-cut PALS panels on each side are the only thing that really distinguishes it.

That’s probably enough of a difference to sway many, but I find it very difficlut to spend money on something not yet available and unproven. Especially with backpacks where fit is so important.

jeebus, sorry about the spelling mistakes. I need to proofread a bit before hitting “reply”!

the similarities are not coincidental, I think the brand that is making this is a very urban brand and this is just their first try at an outdoors pack, that is why it looks so much like a messenger backpack.
I think they got some “bushcraft” guy to put his name on it and put “ultimate” in the name so I’m sure it will sell…

Even China bags are offering laser cut MOLLE, not really impressive anymore in the industry. In fact, it’s often overused only as a marketing gimmick.

Looks like a pack I’d find at Big 5 or Dicks
