Throughout Australian company Lithgow Arms’ 105 year (and counting!) history, they have manufactured a wide variety of firearms. Pictured here is a factory float displaying a Lithgow-made Bren .303 LMG. In-service with the Australian Army from WWII, through Korea and beyond!

Got to visit the factory museum in late 2003. They had a great SMLE collection.
The past is another country
Can you imagine a gun company putting a float in a parade in today’s social / political environment? The snowflakes would fall out on the road side.
It’s Oz–all those evil guns were confiscated and melted down into plowshares.
To great effect and overwhelming support.
I certainly appreciate the attempted trolling – but Bren guns were never available to the public, and they were certainly never ‘confiscated and melted down’ from the Australian Army!
Ofcourse there wasn’t a spike in violent crimes, especially with weapons other than firearms, in Australia and Britain afterwards that continues to this day…
If you’re going to troll an obviously Pro-2A website at least be able to back up your points. Oh, and before you and little Davey try to mention “current crime statistics” let’s not forget the myriad of news reports illuminating just how badly Australian and British LE agency heads force thier departments to classify violent crimes as something else completely different…
Have a nice day, mate!
Doubt this photo is as old as claimed…fella in the background is clearly holding the new F90 with an Elcan 1-4x.
Have a .303 made in 1943 by Lithgow. Thing is solid and shoots brilliantly despite its age.
