Saber Solutions – Magazine Pouch Liner for AVS M4 Flap

The magazine pouch liner is an insert for the SOCOM issued Crye Precision Detachable M4 Magazine Flap, a component of the Adaptable Vest System (AVS).

The insert provides clean and rapid removal of magazines, especially those with protruding features like the PMAG GEN M3 with its over-insertion notch.

Exterior features hook compatible fabric. May be compatible with other single M4 magazine pouches that feature an elastic band around the pouch body.

Comes individually or in pack of three.

That’s a really good idea. I’ll need to pick up some for my JPC2

  2. Chris says:

Why there’s notch in Gen M3 PMAG?

    • P.J. says:

To prevent over insertion. That was an issue with the Gen 1 and 2 P-Mags with some non-AR rifles that use STANAG magazines. Originally Magpul developed it for the E-Mag (export mag, as most of these rifles were foreign), but added it to the Gen 3 to make it universal. Downside is the notch isn’t necessary on an in-spec AR and tends to catch on mag pouches.

  3. Jack says:

Well, we will find out how it works in my JPC.

  4. Alex says:

Looks like the inserts from the Eagle FB pouches (and, by extension, First Spear’s speed pocket).

    • Alex says:

Similar but we run it through a laser cutter to get the correct geometry and strength out of the insert.
